Mariam Khatchvani is a 31-year-old director and screenwriter from Georgia. In 2008, she completed the Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film University in Tbilisi. Since then, she has recorded many short documentaries, some of them Verdzoba (2006), Beyond the Window (2007), Lichanishi (2009) and Kvirikoba (2009). Also, her opus records also feature films, also of short duration, the last of which is Dinola's (2013) film, which was screened at more than 30 film festivals and was nominated for the European Film Award for Best Short Film, which enabled her to realize her The latest feature: feature-length Dede (2017), which won the East of West prize at the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary.
